Details & Techniques

  •  Purple can give people a mysterious, fantastic, and romantic feeling. I used various shades of purple in the painting, whereas some blue and pink were also used in the picture. By integrating these similar colors, the color contrast of the whole picture is not so big and strong. In addition, the use of some green and gold is the punchline of the painting.
  • The color of the girl's dress and the background are all gradient. In addition, I painted these roses one by one in the painting. They are all different sizes, shapes, and colors. The leaves in the painting are also gradient, and the eyes are not simply black, but many colors.
  • There is a white and shining aperture behind the girl. The aperture was created by using sequined watercolor, it accentuates the gloss of the aperture. Besides, the whole painting is purple as the background color, so the white aperture behind the girl looks like a beautiful little fairy.
  • In the picture, we can see a lot of roses, whereas they are all in different sizes. For example, the petals of the big rose are clearly drawn, and I draw these big roses from the inside out. The small roses are so small that they are painted from the outside to the inside.
  • Another special aspect of this painting is that there are a lot of gradients in this painting, such as background and ribbon. However, to make the painting look less monotonous, the rose in the painting does not use gradient.
